8th day of CNY

Come to the 8th day of CNY. It's a busy day for Hokkien people as tonight is the celebration of "Tian Gong Dan" (the birthday of the God of Emperor). For Hokkien people, the 9th day of CNY is the most important day among 15 days of CNY. We will pray for the God of Emperor at 12am sharp during the night. It will be the peak time of the day. Sound of firework is all around. Penang can be said as the most crowded place for this occassion espacially at Chew Jetty. Video below showed the celebration of this occassion.

The bag is made to be air-tight, such that water will not leak, the secret lies with the top and the screw cap!.

11 Life Lessons to Learn

Year of rabbit was a past, it's already the 6th day of dragon year. Everyone of us are getting older. As what idiom said, "One year older, one year wiser" and I'm going to share some tips on how to be a wiser one. :)

1. Always out God first
"When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place" -- Pres Ezra Taft Benson (May, 1988)

2. Life is too short
"This is your life. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don't like something, change it. If you don't like your job, quit. If you don't have enough time, stop watching tv. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop ever analyzing, all emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. LIFE IS SIMPLE. Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. So go out and start creating. Life is live your dream, and wear short. Your Passion." -- The Holstee Manifesto, 2009

3. Live in the moment you are in
"If you are always racing to the next moment, what happens to the one you're in?
Enjoy the Ride."

4. Best things in life are never things
"The best things in life aren't things."

5. You MUST learn to step outside of your comfort zone
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" -- Neale Donald Walsch

6. Be grateful... for everything
"Thank you God fro blessing me much more than I deserve."

7.Forgive... otherwise you are only hurting yourself
"Forgiveness is not something we do for other people. We do it for ourselves to get well and move on."

8. Laugh... every day
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter."

9. Always believe in yourself
"Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."

10. Love like there is no tomorrow
"Love is patient; love is kind. It does not envy; it does not boast. It's not self-seeking; it's not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE NEVER FAILS. -- 1st corinthians 13: 4 - 8

11. Have faith and trust our God
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. -- hebrew 11:1"

Be Careful of a THIEF with NEW Toyota Vios (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah)

Are you a Sabahan? If so, please beware of this new Toyota Vios car. If not, you should still be aware of it. The house owner in the video was very luck but you will never know that you might be the next victim. This reflected how seriously is the social corruption in the society today.

My home, Penang is famous as "The Pearl of the Oriental". No doubt, it is a heavenly place for food. A lot of cheap and mouth watering local cuisine you can find around this small island. Here's some guides on where to go for your local and the yummy delights around this small island. All the foods below are the MUST to try in Penang.

1) CHAR KOAY TEOW - The koay teow is stir fried with dark soy sauce, chilli, belacan, prawns cockles, beansprout and chopped chinese chives. You can search the best one for yourself in Sin Hwa Coffeeshop located in Pulau Tikus which is just opposite the police station.

You may think that pictures always speak louder than words. If so, let's come and have a try. Besides these few which I recommended, there is still a lot nice food around Penang such as White Curry Mee, Satay, Indian Mee Rebus, Wantan Mee, Yam Cake, "Chai Kuey", "Mua Chee", Banana & Raisin Pancake at Beach Street... A lot and a lot more.
